Contest Divisions
Style Requirements The competitor faces one opponent; who may be armed or unarmed. The athlete competes unarmed and has no right to use any opponents’ weapon. The attack simulation has to be in a way that shows that the opponent have no knowledge of Martial Arts. b) Traditional The attack simulation has to be in a way that shows that the opponent have knowledge of Martial Arts. All techniques are performed twice, first in slow motion, then in normal mode. c) Extreme The athlete faces one opponent, which may be armed or unarmed. The athlete competes unarmed and has no right to use any opponents’ weapon. There are no limitations to the routine’s execution. Judge’s Criteria for Modern and Traditional Self Defence Techniques a) Speed b) Power c) Correct Technique d) Fast Reaction e) Realism Judge’s Criteria Extreme Self Defence Techniques a) Speed b) Power c) Correct Technique d) Fast Reaction e) Originality Duration Maximum Routine time is 60’’. The athlete can also complete his routine before the time is up. Competing Area The performance takes place on 8x8 meters Tatami Outfit b) Traditional: The athlete competes barefooted or with the special Martial Arts shoes and wearing the traditional suit.
